Ever thought of making money through your Android mobile phone, yes it is possible with a new app called Slidejoy which turns your phone's lock screen into a large outdoor board for displaying advertisements, and the money advertiser's pay to display ads ends up into your pocket.
If you're ok by seeing an ad for Adidas, Target, Sephora or Best Buy when you unlock your smartphone, Slidejoycould lop some money off your monthly phone bill.
The app is set to launch on Monday, shows ad from advertiser on you android phone's lock screen, said Robert Seo, Chief executive of the company. The company promises that the ads will be "beautiful" and "User Friendly" based on preferences, location and behavior of the user.
Robert said that "It's hard to give an exact amount for payouts, But we are targeting between $5 to $15 per month initially and as the algorithm learns, this range will increase."
Slidejoy don't share any individual information of the users. The user has a choice to register through Facebook directly or they can provide their basic demo-graphic information separately. The accurate the information, better the experience user gets. For example, if I’m in Adidas store, then Slidejoy recognize my location through GPS and push me with an ad with a coupon for shoe or jacket that appeal to men of my age. What I can do with the ad is slide it to left or right. If you swipe to the right then you go to your home screen and earn cash. If you are interested in the ad and want to know more about the ad and its content then swipe to the left to learn more about the ad and earn cash.
In short, how can I earn money through Slidejoy?
This way, I make money from the app and save money on a jacket style I liked, but wasn't aware of. Later on, when the weather warms up, I can be shopping in the same location, and be pushed an ad for shorts from the same designer.
The app comes with a person daily report on how much money he has made; the user can cash out money using Square Cash electronic payments.
You can also make a difference by donating the money to charities.
How the apps algorithm actually works? The way you interact with the ads. Sliding to the right means ignoring the ads which signal no interest of user toward the ad. Whereas, sliding to the left means the user is interested in the ad and takes a step further.
People get paid the same amount regardless of which way they slide the ad. "This is to ensure our advertisers get quality leads and to provide our app with unbiased data on user preferences," Robert Seo said.
Slidejoy initially will be available for android users only; the app will be available for iOS user in the latter half of 2014 according to Seo.
